Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment

At Sahara, we want everyone to be able to browse and shop at saharalondon.com with ease, dignity and independence.

We are committed to improving the accessibility and usability of our website for all customers, including disabled customers and customers using assistive technologies or alternative methods of navigation.

This statement explains our current accessibility approach, the standard we are working towards, the areas currently under review, and how customers can contact us if they experience difficulty using our website.

Accessibility standard

Sahara’s target standard for saharalondon.com is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, so far as applicable to our website and online shopping journey.

WCAG is an internationally recognised technical standard for web accessibility. It is designed to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning and neurological disabilities.

We are currently carrying out a formal accessibility review of saharalondon.com against WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Pending completion of that review, Sahara does not make a claim of full conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Current conformance status

Our current position is that saharalondon.com is under active accessibility assessment and improvement.

The website is built on Shopify and uses a combination of Sahara-managed content, theme components, checkout functionality and selected third-party applications. We are reviewing the accessibility of these elements and will work with our technology partners and suppliers where changes are required.

Where we identify an accessibility issue within our control, we will assess it, prioritise it according to its impact on customers, and take reasonable steps to address it.

Measures we are taking

We are currently taking the following steps:

  • assessing key customer journeys, including product browsing, product selection, basket and checkout;
  • testing selected areas of the site using keyboard-only navigation;
  • reviewing focus visibility and focus order across interactive elements;
  • reviewing labels, headings, links, buttons and form fields;
  • reviewing product images and alternative text;
  • reviewing colour contrast, text readability and responsive layouts;
  • reviewing third-party applications and integrations used on the website;
  • providing customer-support routes for customers who need help completing an order; and
  • updating this statement as our audit and remediation work progresses.
Areas currently under review

As part of our current accessibility review, we are paying particular attention to:

  • product option selectors, including colour, size and variant controls;
  • keyboard navigation through product pages;
  • focus visibility and focus order;
  • navigation menus, filters and sorting controls;
  • basket, checkout, account and payment journeys;
  • forms and error messages;
  • pop-ups, banners and overlays;
  • product images, image galleries and image descriptions;
  • third-party applications used for website functionality; and
  • compatibility with commonly used browsers and assistive technologies.

This list is not exhaustive and may be updated as testing continues.

Known limitations

Our formal audit is currently in progress. Until that audit has been completed, we cannot confirm that every page, feature or third-party component on saharalondon.com meets WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

The following areas are currently being tested and reviewed:

  • keyboard-only navigation across product and checkout journeys;
  • focus visibility where banners, overlays or interactive components appear;
  • product option controls, including colour and size selectors;
  • accessibility of third-party applications and scripts; and
  • consistency of labels and descriptions for interactive controls.

We expect the initial audit phase to be completed by 30 June 2026. Following that review, we will update this statement with any confirmed limitations and, where appropriate, the steps being taken to address them.
